About Levo Wines:
27 year old Bret Urness started Levo in 2011 (and selling began in 2013), being rejected by all California universities offering oenology and viticulture, he decided it time to wave goodbye to academia and create his own path in the wine world. First a stint in Portugal’s Douro Valley, with a pair of boots & journal- where he realized pretty quickly that he only needed good fruit, barrels & some siphoning tubes to make soulful wines. Since then he has stuck to most these primitive wine making ideas. Keeping his head down, pushing away the tantalizing voice of compromise and overused ideas of tradition. Total production is about 1,100 cases across all types. Levo wines – Tin City, Paso Robles.
